

She was a long-time resident of Signal Mountain and an active member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church. A volunteer with the American Red Cross since 1978, she served as Unit Chairperson at Alexian Health Care. She received the Clara Barten Honor Award for Meritorious Volunteering Leadership in 1988 and in 1998. She was the Hospitality Nursing Home Volunteer of the Year in 2012.
Grace was a member of the Central Camp of the Gideon Auxiliary and served with her husband, Bob, as Area Coordinators.
She was a graduate of Fassifern School for Girls in Hendersonville, NC. And the University of Georgia.
Her husband, Bob, and son, David, preceded her in death. She and Bob were married 69 years.
Survivors include sons: James (Belinda), Chris (Lou), and Barry (Kim); grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew (Kayla), Samuel, Dylan (Shane), Cloie Hamilton; and great-granddaughter Kendall.
A service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church on June 15 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideons International, PO Box 201, Signal Mountain or to Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James, Signal Mountain, 37377.
