Harold was born in Chicago, IL, the second of six children to the late Harold and Mary Spletzer. Harold was a loving husband, father, and "Pops".
Harold found joy in riding motorcycles, fishing, and camping with family, though his greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons.
Harold was proceeded in death by his loving wife, Martha Lynne Spletzer, his parents Harold Allan and Mary Teresa Spletzer and brother-in-law Robert Barbee.
He is survived by his daughter Lindsay Spletzer, son Alex (Jessica) Spletzer, grandsons Gaige Davis, Alex Spletzer, Jace Spletzer and Barrett Spletzer, sisters June (Richard) Henderson, Rose Brown, Elaine Barbee, Evelyn Johnston, brother Adam (Susan) Spletzer, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and mother-in-law Aileen Wilson.
There will be a funeral service to celebrate his life on Friday, September 25th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Chattanooga Funeral Home – North Chapel, located at 5401 Hwy. 153, Hixson, Tennessee, 37343. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Hamilton Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
