Harry W Woods

He was a graduate of Brainerd High School, class of 1968, and attended UTC. Harry retired from the City of Chattanooga in 2012. He was an avid golfer and outdoorsman. Harry was a very competitive golfer, having scored 8 holes in one and placing in/winning many tournaments. He was always encouraging to those he played with. Harry never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He was a member of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church and Creeks Bend Golf Club.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Woodrow Woods Sr. and Mary Sue Ellard Woods and his sister, Karen Woods Ramsey.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Scott Woods; sons, Lance Michael Woods and Christopher Russell Woods; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Michele Woods and Perry Scott Woods; as well as other extended family members.

Service of the Resurrection will be Friday, October 17, at 1:00 pm at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church with a visitation and reception immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James Blvd., Signal Mountain, TN 37377 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
