Helen Duke Clark, 84, passed away in her home on February 22, 2021, with her family surrounding her. She was born on September 11, 1936 in Nashville, TN. Helen was a loving mother and grandmother. Her spirit exuded joy and love, and she cherished time with her family. Helen’s personality illuminated every room she walked into. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Russell Clark III; daughter, Julie Boydson; grandson, AJ Boydston; parents, Rodney Giles Duke and Mary Candas Freeman Duke; and brothers Giles Duke, Harold Duke, Kenneth Duke, and Randall Duke. She is survived by her sisters Norma Brown (husband, Kenneth Brown), Jomelia Chenault, and Mary Ann Palmer; daughter, Cindi Clark (husband, Scott Piotrowski); grandchildren, Haley Porter, Zac Porter, and Thomas Boydston. Helen was a member of Hixson United Methodist Church, and a member of Sammy Gooden’s Sunday School Class. The members of Sammy Gooden’s Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be at 10:30am to 1:00pm preceding the funeral at 1:00pm at The North Chapel in Hixson, TN, February 26, 2021. The service will be officiated by Chaplain Kevin Becker with Hearth Hospice. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Fuel for Schools at Hixson United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson. Always had a blast getting to hang around my Uncle Bud and Aunt Helen growing up. I respected and admired them and have missed them these last several years.
