He was born to Harrison and Ina Potter on February 13, 1943. Henry got married in 1963 where they went on to have a son. Henry lead the choir in local churches for 65 years, and he also sang gospel music with the Happy Harmony Quartet.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; brother, Jim Potter; and sisters, Juanita Daugherty and Robbie Knox Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Cathy Potter; son, Jason (Judi) Potter; grandchildren, Lauren Sanner and Willow Potter; and sister, Betty Kile.
There will be a visitation for Henry on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. The family will then proceed to Chattanooga Memorial Park for the committal.
