Herman Alvin Williams Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Alvin Williams, Sr. and Rachel (Ashley) Williams and his brother Donald E Williams.

Survivors include his wife Mary Williams. Sister Judy (Williams) Adams of Soddy Daisy, two nephews Dale Adams, David Adams of Soddy Daisy.

Butch graduated from Chattanooga High school class of 1963. He served as a Spec 4, United States Army Reserve. Mr. Williams was a retired firefighter having served the city of Chattanooga Tennessee for 25 years.

He was also a member of The Ministry Center in Hixson. Butch loved the Lord. When he went to Israel he was baptized in the River Jordan. He loved collecting things from Israel. Butch climbed 3 mountains (Mt Sherman, Mt Yale and Mt Quandary) in Colorado, loved cycling, hunting and fishing. We will miss him dearly.

Family will receive friends from 2 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at The Ministry Center in Hixson on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 1 pm with Rev. Kyle Hinch, Dr. Jerry McNabb and Rev. Jimmie Talley officiating. Interment will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
