She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Davis, son, Robert Davis, granddaughter, Kelly Adams, and her parents D. V. and Ora Mae Miller.
Iris retired from Combustion Engineering after 40 years of service.
She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, where she served 45 years in the pre-school and shut-in ministry.
Survivors are grandsons, Robert Scott (Theresa) Davis, Anthony “Tony” Davis (Kevin); sister, Nadine Freeman; nephews, Tim (Sandy) Hobbs, and Philip (Brenda) Hobbs; six great-grandchildren; and Special Daughters-in-law (same as daughters), Glenda Davis Willoughby and Barbara Davis Shuptrine.
Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 30, 2025, with Dr. Steve Granger and with Brother Rocky Bradford officiating. The family will receive friends at North Chapel from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday afternoon.
