Kenneth was raised in the Rocky River Community and graduate from Spencer High School in 1957. He served in the National Guard for 16 years. Kenneth was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with over 26 years of service. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Marie Boyd; brother, Robert Boyd and sister, Joyce Boyd.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat Boyd; children, Deborah (Shaun) Boyd Carver and Steven (Stacie) Boyd; granddaughter, Molly Boyd; sisters, Lemma (Lloyd) Grissom, Carolyn (Jim) Powers and Arlene (Leon) Ware; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, Dec. 21, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday at the North Chapel. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
