John James “Jack” Emmert III, 80, of La Jolla, California, formerly a long time resident of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on September 16, 2023.
An only child, Jack was a graduate of Chattanooga City High School, and University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in Memphis. He was a pharmacist for many years and retired from Bi-Lo Pharmacy.
He was an active member in his college fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, and was also a member of the Chattanooga Jaycees for several years.

He was a member of the church softball team and coached several of his children’s sports teams. Jack was also a Cub Scout pack leader for many years.
Most of all, he was a wonderful husband, a great father and grandfather to his 4 children and 9 grandchildren, and a caring and compassionate friend. Jack will be missed dearly each and every day by many, but especially his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John James “Jack” II and Ann Spargur Emmert.
