Jim was a kind and gentle man and will be missed in this earth. He is at peace now. For the family...may God bless you and keep you, may his face shine upon you, may he lift up his countenance upon you and give you PEACE.

I'm so sad to hear about Jim.  He was such a wonderful person to work with and was always willing to go the extra mile no matter how difficult it was.  He was truly an inspiration during my brief time working with him at the state.  Praying for the family.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Jim. He was such a wonderful person and friend.He could not have made it the past six or seven years  had it not been for Linda. He expressed how much he loved her  and said that had it not been for her, he wouldn't have made it. She is truly a great person also.  I know for she was once my mother-in-law.

Jim was such a wonderful and kind man.  He tried to always make others feel better in spite of how he might be feeling. He loved Linda very much and could not have made it without her during the last six or seven years of his very painful life.  He expressed his love for Linda many times and said that he didn't know what he would have done had he not had Linda.

Jim was a very kind person.  When I first starting working at Pioneer Bank he was taking trips to Memphis to take gifts for one of his employees child who was at St. Jude.  A very kind man.  I'm glad that I had the opportunity to have worked with him.  Lisa Robertson Huskey-Ringgold GA

Jim was such a personable man....even with his health issues, he always had time to listen to my latest episode with my son....he was so intent in living"at least 10 yrs." after his diagnosis so he could help with Ashley.He is truly an example of serving,from taking care of Ashley,to taking care of 2 elderly women, & this is just the little bit I knew of him...wish I had known him better...Linda, you are just as precious & giving. Jim was a great boss at Pioneer Bank.  He was always very supportive and willing to listen.  He would help you when you needed it.  He was very intelligent and intuitive.  We will miss you!

Jim will be missed by my family. We enjoyed his company when Jim and Linda would come to our family get togethers. We considered Jim a part of our family. He always wanted to know when the next gathering was and hoped he would be able to attend. We know that Jim is at peace and not suffering anymore. Linda, we know what you did for him and he told us he did not know what he would do without you. May you find peace and comfort in the following poem:

Jim was always so helpful and patient. I work at the SERO region Dept. of Health (out in the counties) so only got to talk to Jim when there was a  computer problem. Jim kept us going with computer support. Everyday his work touched the lives of many in a 10 couty region.He will be missed. Prayers of comfort go out to his family.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Jim. I worked with him when we were at Pioneer Bank. He was such a nice & caring man. He will be missed by all. Your Family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I didn't know a lot about him, but I am sorry for your loss.  The times I had to go the South East Regional Office, Jim was always helpful, polite and always made sure that everything was working appropriately.  He will be missed by the staff at SERO.  Carol Henson (TN Dept of Health)

Connie, Johnny, Ashley and family, My prayer is for Grace and comfort as you miss your dad, granddad, sibling, nephew, uncle and friend from this world! My first meeting with him was to make glasses for him and I knew then he was a bit of a "character" with everyone!

Mr. Helton was my very first boss at Pioneer Bank. He was a wonderful quite man who was always supportive. He was well liked by all.
