He was a 1965 graduate of Hixson High School. Jim was a US Army veteran. He was a long-time employee of Hamilton Concrete. Jim was a Big University of Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoyed NASCAR Racing each weekend.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James L. Nabors Sr. and Edna Nabors, and granddaughter, Allison McCurdy.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Kay Nabors, of Hixson; stepdaughter, Sonya (Brent) McCrary of Scottsboro, AL; stepson, Greg (Angie) Smith of Sodd-Daisy, TN; sister, Bernice (Jerry) Parker of Vonore, TN; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Services for Jim will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery, on Wednesday June 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM EDT. Inurnment will follow.
