Jimmy served our country in the United States Army and retired from U. S. Pipe with over 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy and Charlie Rector; his wife of 60 years, Geraldine “Gerry” Stevens Rector.
Jimmy is survived by his three sons, LeBron (Kim), Chuck (Bronwyn), and Michael (Marnie) Rector; daughter, Janice (Jim) Pendergrass; grandchildren, Carrie Bingham, Derrick Pendergrass, Randall Pendergrass, Amy Rector Darby, Justin Rector, Heather Fairchild, Caroline Rector, and Lauren Rector; and a host of great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Jimmy will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 28, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Frank Evans, Jr. officiating.
