James Mickel Walker, 50, of Hixson, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Mike was a loving father and husband and lifelong Hixson resident who now resides with his heavenly Father. He was a member of Boilermakers Local 454, and an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and musician.
He was preceded in death by his father, Toby Walker.
Survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Lisa; children, Carolyn Kittle, Lindsey Walker, Evan (Jolie) Walker, and Jamie Walker; mother, Betty (Leonard) Wills; stepmother, Shirley (Rich) Kruger; sisters, Michelle (Sheldon) Harrell, Vicki (Tony) Walker; grandchildren, Samantha Goodwin, Kailyn Walker, Carson Graham, and Gabriella Walker; uncle, Johnny (Rhonda) Thomas; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) and from 12 noon until 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the North Chapel.
A memorial services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, November 17, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
