Jane Georgia Scott, 93, of Hixson passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 in a local health care facility. She was born in Martinsburg, IN on February 22, 1921. Jane was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and her joy in life was being with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and piecing quilts.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband Lillis “Bud” Scott, her parents, John and Minnie Ratts, and her sister, Ruth Ratts. Jane is survived by her daughter, Janis and her husband John; grandchildren, Bethany Massey and Scott (Taylor) Massey.
Jane’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff of Martin Boyd Christian Home for their wonderful care of Jane.
In lieu of flowers Jane’s family has requested contributions be made to the Martin Boyd Christian Home 6845 Standifer Gap Chattanooga, TN 37421.
A visitation will be held today at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Martinsburg Cemetery in Pekin, Indiana.
