Janis Strunk

She was born on January 08, 1954, to William and Helen Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Steven Strunk, her children Gordon Strunk (Sarah Lear) and Stuart Strunk (Patricia), her grandchildren Julian, Nico and Louisa, and her brother John Wilson.

Jan was known for her intelligence, eclectic interests, kindness, wit and deadpan sense of humor. She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, playing guitar and piano, hiking and, most of all, her grandchildren. She had a varied career as both an engineer and a teacher. She never said no to anyone asking for help.

Jan requested that there be no formal funeral service, and her family will honor that wish. Instead, an informal celebration and appreciation of her life will be held at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 848 Ashland Terrace, on Saturday, May 31 at 4:30 PM.

Come prepared to eat, see friends and family, and reminisce.
