Jarrod was a graduate of Boyd Buchanan School, class of 2008, and attended UTC. Jarrod began his very successful career in transportation and logistics with FedEx in 2015 and went on to grow and develop teams at multiple companies in Austin, TX and beyond. Jarrod took great pride in not only developing his employees professionally but also knowing each one on a personal level and developing countless friendships.
Jarrod was the type of person that never met a stranger. He could light up a room with just one of his infectious laughs, cracking a joke, or giving you a big bear hug. This “life of the party” personality helped him meet some of his best friends while tending bar. He loved a good pour of bourbon, a steak dinner, trips to the beach, a good dance floor, a well coordinated outfit, a Braves baseball game, brunch on Sunday and Tennessee football on Saturday.
Jarrod lived for his family and friends and he would do anything for anyone he loved. The one thing he loved more than anything else in this world was his beautiful wife Katie. She was truly his best friend and biggest supporter for almost 15 years. They lived their wedding vows out loud. His proudest moment was the day he became a father to his very own look alike, Thompson, and his legacy will live on forever in his son.
Jarrod is preceded in death by his father Brian Payne and his Grandfathers Marshall Bailey and Jim Payne.
Jarrod is survived by his wife Katie Payne, his son Thompson and his beloved four legged companion Zoe. His mother LeAnn Payne (Scott), sister Jordan Payne, his grandmothers Ruth Bailey and Peggy Payne, his beloved in-laws Ken and Judy Turner, his sister-in-law Shelby Turner, and uncle Barry Payne (Kara), and many cousins.
