I'm going to miss you a lot man, you were one of the best bosses and friends I've ever made in the logistics industry and i was blessed to ever be under your wing. 

There are so many stories i could share but my most memorable one was where you made me drive all the way back to the office from my house, breaking too many traffic laws to count because i forgot to dispatch a truck for one of our VIP customers. When i finally got back to the office, sweating from full sprinting up the flights of stairs and running down the hallways and when i opened the office door you were sitting there laughing because you had already called the driver and made sure everything was good and you were just teaching me a very important lesson. We both ended up cracking up and i was on my way back home from downtown. 

I'm going to really miss sharing memes with you daily on Instagram and sharing stupid pictures and stories that make your eyes roll. I'm glad we got to hang out one last time in Massachusetts for Tyler's wedding and I'm gonna miss ya man.

The news of Jarrod's passing has deeply saddened me, and finding the right words to express my feelings has taken me some time. Our journey together began during our earlier employment, where we had only a passing acquaintance. However, over time, our paths converged once more, and we developed a profound friendship at our current workplace. Learning of his passing has left me with a heavy heart.

From the very beginning of his battle against cancer, Jarrod maintained an incredible sense of positivity and optimism that left a lasting impact on me. I was steadfast in my support and hope for his triumphant recovery. It pains me to think that he's no longer with us, but his memory will forever occupy a special place in my thoughts.

The bond we formed during our time together is something I will always cherish. Jarrod's enduring positivity and joyful spirit were truly remarkable, and I hope that he continues to radiate that same positivity and joy in the eternal peace he has found.

May Jarrod rest in peace, and may his memory inspire us all to remain positive and joyful, just as he did throughout his life.

As you go through life you develop friendships. Some friends you meet as a child, and never forget the memories you shared with each other no matter how much time passes. We grew up and started our lives with our families, but one thing remained and that was the great time we shared together as childhood friends. Thanks for those memories Jarrod Payne. Go Vols!

I never met Jarrod but my brother, John, worked with him for years and I understand he was a phenomenal person. When John told me about Jarrod passing and leaving behind his best friend and child, it tore my heart to pieces. We are sending so much love, so many prayers and so many wishes to your family. Although the void of not having Jarrod will never be filled, we hope you all find a path forward.

My deepest sympathies to the Payne family at this heart wrenching time. I worked with Jarrod briefly at Energy Transportation and had the pleasure of attending lunch with him and another colleague once. 

He talked about his beautiful wife and son the entire time. Jarrod seemed like such a sweet and genuine person.

LeAnn, I’m so sorry to read about Jarrods passing. I don’t live in Chattanooga anymore but saw it today in the obituary. Words cannot express my sadness and sympathy for you and those other loved ones he left behind. I always liked Jarrod and he was so sweet. I will let Matthew know, they were always friends. I am very sad to hear about Jarrod passing.  He was a friend from the moment he interviewed me.  Jarrod and I worked closely together building a compliance program for a logistic company.  He taught me a lot about logistics.  He always took the time to have a talk, no matter what.  I loved our chats, jokes and getting to know each other.  He was so proud when Thompson was born, beaming with joy. My thoughts and prayers to Katie, Thompson, and the entire family.  He will be missed very much.

I’m deeply saddened for the loss of Jarrod, one of my best school buddies. Jarrod brought humor and laughter to all. His hilarious spirit will be remembered fondly, and he leaves behind a legacy of joy that will continue to inspire us. My deepest condolences to Jarrod’s loved ones. 

Funny Jarrod story: I’ll never forget the time Jarrod took me to lunch at J. Alexander’s and “forgot” his wallet. It was always a running joke between us. 

I am so sadden to hear the passing of a great man. He will truly be missed. I had the pleasure of getting to know him during his time in Austin and when he would watch his Vols play on Saturday. Yall are in my prayers.

Jarrod hired me as a Carrier Sales Manager in 2021.  I feel very fortunate to have worked for him.  He was a wonderful manager but more importantly, he was a kind person and genuinely cared about all of his employees and co- workers.   The world needs more people like Jarrod who genuinely care about others.   My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Jarrod was compassionate, kind, hard working, and maybe the funniest man I’ve ever met. He served as a mentor to me at the beginning of my professional career and always checked in to make sure everything was good. His kindness knew no bounds. May he rest in peace. 

Jarrod was an awesome dude and someone who brightened every room he entered. I was lucky enough to get to work with him and watch him make other people better at work and not only help them grow their careers, but also help them grow as human beings. He was a great leader, person, and someone I respected immensely.

He will be greatly missed, and I cherish and value the impact he had on my life and the life of others. He will live forever through great memories shared together.
