Jason is survived by his loving mother, Kay Wright; his sister, Wendy Combs (Danny); his son, Matthew Wright (Emma Vaughn),
his daughter, Emily Sparks (Casey) and granddaughter Lillian Sparks, (with Emily expecting another daughter in October), He is also survived by his former wife Jennifer Parisi Wright.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Tommie D. Wright of Chattanooga.
Jason loved fishing, hiking, and being outdoors in nature. His long, solitary hikes were deeply special to him—a time when he could talk to God, clear his mind and find peace. He had a love for cars and everything about them. Helping others was a gift he gave freely, even when he was in pain himself.
He was also deeply devoted to his beloved dogs, Griffin, Rose, and Bayleigh, who were his constant companions. Bayleigh, in particular, always knew when he wasn't feeling well and would stay by his side to comfort him. They were a very special part of his life.
Jason’s deepest love was for his family. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with his children and loved being a dad. Jason truly loved his mom’s cooking and spending time with her.
Jason was a bright light in all of our lives, and his kindness, humor, and spirit will never be forgotten. He brought immense joy to everyone who knew him, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone who had the chance to know and love him.
Jason may no longer be here with us, but he will always be a part of us and will live on through the memories and love he left behind.
Visitation will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343, US, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The Memorial Service will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 4:00 pm.
