Mr. Kyker was a faithful member of Northway Community Church in Valdosta Georgia. Prior to that, Central Baptist Church in Hixson for over 50 years. He served in the United States Army and Marine Reserves and worked as a welder at Combustion Engineering before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Kyker; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah & Dale Braswell and Teresa & Ashley Williams of Adel, GA; grandchildren, Justin Williams, Chandler Williams, Kerri Williams, Dan Braswell, Vicky Dillard, Cindy Sirmans, Linda Fausett, and Sara Robertson; brother, Larry Kyker; and sisters, Aileen Denton, Shirley Jackson, Mary Katherine Hale, and Carolyn Poteat.
Funeral services will be held 5:00 pm Tuesday, January 10 at Central Baptist Hixson. Interment will be Wednesday, January 11th at 10:00 am in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 3-5 Tuesday, before the funeral.
