Jean Ann Carroll, a beloved wife, mother, granny, great-granny, and loyal friend, departed this life and entered the arms of her Savior on Friday, October 24, 2025. She was a vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew her, celebrated for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Born to be a nurturer, Jean devoted her life to raising four wonderful children, embracing the demanding yet rewarding role of a housewife with grace and determination. Her home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, love, and the delightful aromas of her famous cooking. Jean was renowned for her culinary skills, particularly her delectable chicken and dumplings and her irresistible banana pudding. Every Christmas, she would embark on a labor of love, crafting a friendship cake that took a full thirty days to perfect, sharing not just a dessert, but also a piece of her heart with everyone who was fortunate enough to enjoy it.
An active and cherished member of the Signal Mountain Church of Christ, Jean found joy and inspiration in her faith. She dedicated her time to attending ladies' Bible study and was a steadfast presence at the church, embodying the spirit of community and fellowship. No matter the occasion, she was there every time the door opened, extending her hand in service, support, and love.
Jean’s legacy will live on through her family and friends who will forever cherish the memories they made with her. She taught us the value of love, family, and faith, and in her laughter, we will always find a reminder of her incredible spirit.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Marvin Carroll; son, Mike Carroll; and grandson, Russ Babb.
Survivors include children, Terry (Windy) Carroll, Cindy (David) Anderson, and Linda Carroll; daughter-in-law, Amy Carroll; grandchildren, Mary Beth (Jamy) Bryant, Amanda Goplin, Tyler Carroll, Avery Launiere, Anna Beth Carroll, and Maddox Launiere; great-granddaughter, Addy Bryant, 3 loving sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
