Jean Wilson Jackson, 91, of Falling Water, went to be with the Lord on December 19,2025. She was born on January 12, 1934, to W.O. and Sarah Jolley Wilson and lived a life marked by conviction, kindness, and an extraordinary ability to love others fully and well.
Jean was married for 65 years to her beloved husband, Stanley Ashley Jackson, who preceded her in death in 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents and many loving brothers and sisters, all of whom she held dear.
Jean is survived by daughters, Susan (Casey) Stuart and Kim (Bill) Martin; granddaughters, Emily (Danny) Horn, Rachel-Ashley (Mario) Ragghianti, Sallie Ashley Martin, and Addie (Nick) Nester; great-grandchildren, Madeliene and Carson Horn; and several loved nieces and nephews.
Jean was a longtime and devoted member of Falling Water Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School Class. Her faith was the foundation of her life and informed how she lived, served, and cared for others. Jean was known for her strong and outspoken spirit, balanced by kindness, care, and a deep love for her family and friends.
Jean graduated from Red Bank High School in 1952 and always enjoyed attending the class reunions. She also worked as a teacher's aide at Alpine Crest Elementary School.
In her later years, Jean resided at Dominion Senior Living in Hixson, where she was cared for with compassion and dignity. She was surrounded by those who showed her patience, kindness, and respect, and her family is deeply grateful for the care she received during that season of her life. She, along with her family, enjoyed many events and activities at Dominion.
Jean will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, bold spirit, and boundless love. Her influence will live on through the generations she so deeply cherished.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, January 9, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life service for Jean will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, at the North Chapel with Pastor Brandon Carder officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The Gleaners Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jean's name to Falling Water Baptist Church or The Pat Summit Foundation.
