Martha Jean Sanders, 92, of Hixson, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Jean taught kindergarten for many years at Ganns Middle Valley Elementary School. She loved Braves baseball and shopping. Jean spent several winters in Englewood, Florida on Manasota Key. The last few years were spent in Chattanooga with her family. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, H. Wilbur Sanders, parents, Harry and Rhoda Swanson; son, Dave Blaine Sanders; and sister, Mary Catherine Allen.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Don) Jones; grandchildren, Joni (Jordan) Laycook, Sara Sanders, Hanna Sanders, Guy (Maggie) Tiller, Logan (Chad) White and Lauren (Joey) Royster and several great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Sunday August 19, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A private committal service to be held by the family immediately following visitation.
