Jeffery Martin Chaffin

Jeffery Martin Chaffin, 58, of Hixson, TN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, surrounded by family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Susan Weir Chaffin; daughters, Bethany Chaffin and Amanda Chaffin Carleo (Duane); mother, Ann Thurman (Newell); sister, Lisa Eaves (Gary); brother, Mark Chaffin (Susan); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Chaffin; uncle, Robert Chaffin; aunt, Charlotte Musick; aunt, Juanita Brown; mother-in-law, Alta Jean Weir; father-in-law, Colville C. Weir; and brother-in-law, Robert Weir. Jeff was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, and was a graduate of Hixson High School and Chattanooga State. He retired from UPS after over 30 years, and was a devoted member of Lupton Drive Baptist Church. Jeff's family would like to thank University Oncology and Hematology, Morning Pointe, Preferred Care, Avalon Hospice, and his many friends for their care and support.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel and on Saturday from 10-11 am. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randy Bell officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
