Always a man of honor and integrity with the kindest soul. He showed his entire family a true, unconditional love. A wonderful husband, incredible father, loving grandfather, and an outstanding person within the community. His beloved smile and spirit will be greatly missed but touched many lives.
A man proud to be from Whitwell, TN. Graduated senior class president from Whitwell High School. Then graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Chattanooga, Followed by earning his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of TN Memphis. Mason and Shriner member of Hill City Lodge. Former owner of Access Drug Store, where he helped and served many. Longtime member of the Chattanooga Golf & CC where he shared his love for golf with friends and granddaughter, Brooke. Also, a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church, where he was an unwavering steward for his Lord.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Susie Eakin, his daughter, Debbie Eakin Pancake, granddaughters, Blaire Pancake Koehl, Debbie Erin Pancake, Brooke Pancake Rende, & Ally Pancake Bell, and many great-grandchildren. & many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga. Please reference in memory of Jim J. Eakin.
A funeral service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 26th at 11:00 o'clock am at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel Hixson with Pastor Mike Haberkorn officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
