Joe E. Brown

He was born to the late Robert and Berta Brown on July 17, 1951. Joe graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1970 and went on to take classes at Chattanooga State Community College. After school, he went on to start his career at DuPont where he spent 30 years working in the maintenance department. Joe married the love of his life in 1971, Nora Cooke. They went on to have 2 sons. After retirement, he spent his time “playing in the yard” and going on family trips to Pigeon Forge. He was a member of Wayside Presbyterian Church.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, listed above.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Nora C. Brown; sons, Joe Jr. (Suzanne) Brown and Joshua Brown; grandchildren, Holden (Leah) Giesecke and Max Giesecke; brother, Bobby (Terry) Brown; sister, Deborah Brown, and a host of extended family.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga for taking good care of Joe.

Joe will be laid to rest at Chattanooga Memorial Park with a private family service.
