He was an active member of the church of Christ that meets in Middle Valley, where he serviced as a deacon and classroom teacher for many years. He was retired from Combustion Engineering after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty “Rea” Douglas; son-in-law, John Hall; sisters, Earlene (Randy) McKinney, Willene (Jerry) Dagnan and Carolyn Lasater; brother, Tommy (Kathy) Douglas; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held3:00 pm Sunday, April 17, 2016 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Larry Clements officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 Sunday.
