

Russ was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 13 years. He was an All American Wrestler at the University of Nebraska, Omaha where he graduated in 1982. Russ mentored many young professionals throughout his career. Russ’ special character and his strength touched many lives. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and friend. He will be missed by many. Russ was the Senior Director of Sales Development and Area Sales Regional Manager with Aspen Medical Products. Russ, Jenny and Samuel are members of Christ United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice Stanton Pierce.
Russ is survived by his wife, Jenny Bivens Pierce and son Samuel Lee Pierce; father, James Stanton Pierce; mother, Leta Landrum Pierce; brother, Randy Pierce; uncle, John Landrum and an aunt, Kay Gritter.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, November 13, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Mark Flynn officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
