Johnny Lee Sorenson, 20, of Chattanooga died suddenly Sunday, February 2, 2014. He was a 2011 graduate of Central High School. He attended Meigs County High School where he played football. He participated in track and field and was an avid golfer, he golfed every day. Johnny was a huge Ravens fan. A talented artist, he doodled where ever he was and on whatever was handy.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Jimmye Ruth Hughes. He was loved by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his father Rex Sorenson (Sandy Robinson); mother Kathleen Sorenson (Jack Pevehouse); sisters Tamara Lee (Drew) Davis, and Jennifer Marie (Chris) Kuhl; brothers Rex Dean III (Megan) Sorenson, and Tyler Michael Sorenson; grandparents Rex and Mary Sorenson, and Johnny Lee and Virginia Hughes; step brothers Tanner Robinson and Tyler Pevehouse; step sisters Haylee Robinson and Kelsey Pevehouse ; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a very loving uncle to Caleb, Joy, Jaxson, Rowan, Halen and Rex, IV.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, February 7, 2014 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 Thursday.
