Joseph Russell “Joe” Henry, 44, of Chattanooga died May 4, 2023. He was born November 19, 1978 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. His father, James Russell Henry and paternal grandparents, John Dunlap and Carroll Young Henry, preceded him in death.
Joe loved the outdoors. He hiked the Appalachian Trail, where he met people from Germany and became close friends, that he was able to visit and spent time with them touring Europe. He was a good man with a kind heart.
Survivors include his parents, Cathe and Alan Thrailkill; sister, Madelyn Woods; grandparents, David and Patricia Woods; uncle, Tony (Phoebe) Woods and Casey Woods; cousins, Kirk (Nicole) Woods, Dustin (Missy) Adcock, Nikki (Bill) Myers, John Daniel “Dallas” (Darla) Henry and Bill (Dee) Pace.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-7 Tuesday, May 9.
Funeral services will be 1:00, Wednesday May 10 at the North Chapel with Minister Timothy Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
