Joe was born in Jenkins, Kentucky, raised in the Tyner area and attended Collegedale Academy. He was a member of Standifer Gap Seventh Day Adventist Church. Joe worked in the construction industry for many years. He died with the blessed hope of Jesus’ return.
Joe is survived by his wife of 30 years, Debi Friar; mother, Lorene H. Friar; sisters, Rita Friar, Mona Friar and Sandie Tripp; brother, Justin Friar.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside services for Joe will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, at Collegedale Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
