Always a gentleman and always soft spoken and professional and a pleasure to assist on our job at at CPD. I not long ago told him I saw his name on several signs at Soddy Daisy ball field as a championship coach to which brought a grin and said good to know those are still up.

Joe you will be missed by many as you leave a huge void in a lot of people's lives that you affected. May God provide your family with comfort and peace during this time of grief. Blessing upon your family for all the days ahead. Rest in eternal peace.

I met Joe 18 years ago, he had a few years already in the Los Angeles Police Department and I was getting ready to enter the academy. Joe was always available for me to talk to and he always gave me advice, when I was having a hard time. When I graduated from the academy, Joe was there and gave me my first flashlight with my name engraved. Joe was always patient, always willing to help and never asked for anything in return. Joe was the example of Philippians 2:4, Let each of you look not only to his own interests but to the interest of others. To Alicia, AJ and Jenna, May God comfort you, during this difficult time.
Sincerely, the Arrue family
