Joyce E. Hixson

She lived in Hixson, Tennessee for many years and graduated from Soddy Daisy High School. Joyce worked for Red Food and Bi-Lo and was a member of the Church of God faith.

Joyce is preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Hixson; parents, James Edward Fox and Sarah Maye Fox; sister, Debra Harwood; and brothers, Bobby Fox and Ralph Fox.

Here is continue Joyce’s legacy is her husband of 68 years, Marvin L. Hixson; son, Mike Hixson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation for Joyce will be Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and then again Wednesday, May 27, 2026, form 10:00 am to 11:00 am both at Chattanooga Funeral Home – North Chapel in Hixson.

The funeral service will follow the visitation of Wednesday at the funeral home starting at 11:00 am with Pastor Wayland Stewart officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hearth Hospice, 811 Broad Street, Ste. 100 Chattanooga, TN 37402.
