Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Judy devoted her life to her faith, family, and friends. She graduated from Brainerd High School and Edmondson Business School and worked for U.S. Pipe in the early 1970s. She later spent many fulfilling years as a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her steadfast faith, kindness, and encouraging spirit.
Judy was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga and a supporter of its mission work. She developed a personal ministry of encouraging others by sharing the Lord’s Word through personalized, handcrafted cards and letters. These thoughtful creations were sent around the world to offer hope and comfort and to remind people that they were remembered and loved. Judy also co-authored a book about her studies of the Song of Solomon titled Christ and His Bride: Their Love Story.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, their two sons, three grandchildren, and other relatives and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, Tennessee.
