Judy has been a friend of mine for so many years that it is hard to talk about a memory to share that says what I want to say. She had the gift of looking for some way to bless other people and she did it with so much kindness and lack of attention to herself that you knew her heart's desire to bless was pure through & through. She long ago left a rather craggy looking angel figurine on my chair in the choir rehearsal room with the sweetest note, complementing me on something she perceived about me. I asked who had left the note & no one seemed to know. I treasured it and still have it and the little figurine on my bedroom shelf. Years later she asked me if I had that & admitted it was her who had left it. I remember saying "I asked you if you knew who did that & you said you did not know." Told her "I know it was not you because you have such a unique tiny handwriting style." Then she admitted it was her & that she had disguised her handwriting so that the blessing could have come from anyone and that I would not be able to figure out who had thought so much of me. I took that angel to her home just 2-3 years ago when I visited her before they were to move to Tennessee. She smiled sweetly and seemed to remember doing that & seemed pleased for me to remind her of her kindness. That was Judy -- always blessing folks in her unique way.

I was so saddened to hear about Judy’s passing. I have fond memories of sitting next to her in the soprano section in choir. She was always the consummate “lady”, demonstrating dignity and gentleness. My prayers to your whole family for God’s comfort and peace in the coming days and months.

What an awesome lady Judy was, giving love & encouragement to others while she endured such physical pain. Her love for the Lord and trust in Him was reflected on her face, in her smile & elegant grace. Praying God comforts her family. Love Ed & JoJeana Smith

What a Joy it has been to know Judy! Dr. Taylor and I had a personal connection with Judy as members of the Emmaus Community, but she always entered our office with a smile and radiated God's Joy.
It has been a true Blessing to know Judy and to be able to participate in her care at Comprehensive Pain Care in Marietta.

Oh my. Judy and I grew up together next door and school buddies for a bunch of years. It's so hard to hear old friends who have gone on. But I know we will see each other again. Prayers for all.

I have many memories of Judy at South High School. We attended South together from 7th to 12th grade. She was always friendly, kind and outgoing. Very musically talented. We had a wonderful Senior High Choir, directed by Dr. Gerald Ballard. We always remember Judy's amazing solo in the African Spirtual, Sit Down Servant.
Our condolences to your family.

Judy and I went to church and school together. We shared a cousin (on her mother’s side and on my mother’s side) she also played the music for my wedding 56 years ago. I always admired her beautiful soul and her talent. Loved you Judy
