Tim and Kids:
I met Karen four years ago at the Holy Spirit Yard Sale.  She donated wonderful items from her parents, including collectible train sets that raised lots of money for SVDP.   In a brief conversation, she shared her thoughts about loving parents and Tim.   She bought a bike for one of the kids, and conversation turned to praise for them. I will always treasure a five-minute encounter with an angel

We are so sorry for your loss. Paul had the privilege to coach Alyssa when she played for Fear Factor and our oldest daughter, Lexie, Was on the team. We were so saddened to hear of Karen's passing and will continue to remember your family in our prayers.

We are at a loss for words and are deeply saddened with the loss of such an amazing woman. Karen brightened so many lives with her kindness. She was able to effortlessly make everyone feel welcome no matter what the occasion. She was a great teacher not only to her children at home, but to so many others that crossed her path. We truly feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know Karen and she will remain in our memories always. Although we know there is nothing we can say that will make your loss easier, we want you to know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. 

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16……..and Karen did.

Dear Tim, Amy, Daniel, Alyssa, Owen, and Zoe,

We are so sorry for your loss, and we will continue to pray for your family and Karen.  

We will always remember Karen's wonderful zest for life.  Her will and determination were incredible, and she will be a wonderful intercessor for you all in Heaven busily volunteering for Jesus as she did on earth.    

One of the special things we will remember about Karen was her quick wit.   She mentioned one time to Wende how 4 of our kids are all in the same grades, and she remarked "my fifth one is on the front end and your fifth one is on the back end."    

We cannot really totally understand what you are going through losing a loving wife and incredible mother.  Just know that our prayers are with you each day going forward as they have been for the past many months.   

We apologize in advance for not being physically with you at this time.  We are attending a wedding out of state during the wake and funeral.   We will light a candle for Karen and your family at St. Dunstan's Basilica on Prince Edward Island.   Know you are in our prayers, and we are sending God's loving embrace to you at this time.
