Kathy Johnson Baldauf, 54, of Lafayette, died at 10:24 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital. Born April 16, 1957 in Chattanooga, TN, she was the daughter of the late Roy Gilbert and Anna Christine Perkins Johnson. She worked with custodial services at the Memorial Union at Purdue University.
Surviving is her companion, with whom she made her home for the past 13 years, Wayne McKnight; two sons, Charles Baldauf (companion, Courtneay Davis) of Lafayette and Daniel Harris of Manchester, KY; a sister, Shelley Johnson of Chattanooga; and two brothers, Larry Cooley (wife, Lola) of Chattanooga and Charles Cooley (companion, Judy Wriston) of Lafayette. Four grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ginger.
