She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Parten ; her parents.
Kay is survived by her husband, Marvin Swafford; Two grandchildren, Three great- grandchildren, Six great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral home.
Funeral services for Kay will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, September 13, at North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home .
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Avalon Hospice.
