Keith was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking and walking. He retired from the State of Michigan Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division. Keith served his country both in the US Navy and the US Army as well as many years in the Michigan National Guard. For the last 15 years, he enjoyed living at the Alexian Brothers Community where he had many special friends as well as caregivers.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents as well as brother, Robert Carter; sister Corieda Carter; and brother, Raymond Carter.
He is survived by his brother Larry Carter and wife, Joanne as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
There will be a graveside service with military honors at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404, at 1:00 pm Friday, May 29, 2026.
