He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ellen Walpert of Laguna Woods, CA; sons, Jim (Penni) Walpert of Hixson, TN and Robert “Bob” (Lisa) Walpert of Orange County, CA; sister, Jean Riddle of Lawton, OK; grandchildren, Billy (Sheri) Walpert, Kelly Walpert and Devin Walpert; great-grandchildren, Avalon Walpert, Blake Walpert, Jonah Walpert, Rylann Walpert and Colin Walpert.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5 pm to 7pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2 pm at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
