several years illness. She was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Cofer, Sr. and the late Josephine Pear! Woollen Cofer. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jimmy Ray Bean, and her son, Richard Alan Bean. She is survived by one daughter, Donna (Chris) Grant, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Joseph (Pat) Cofer.
Laura was a 1960 graduate of Central High School where she was a member of the Purple Pounders Color Guard. After high School Laura spent many years working for TVA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the AustralianShepherdsFurever.org (501 C non-profit organization) or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. The family wishes to thank Gabriel Dunn and the staff of With Gentle Hands Home Care for their dedicated care for Laura in her final days.
A private graveside burial is planned Wednesday December 17th.
