Laura was a graduate of Hixson High School.
She was employed by McDonalds and Walmart. In her work, she was known as a steady and dedicated presence—someone who approached each day with patience and genuine care for others.
Laura enjoyed travel and had a strong interest in U. S. geography and history. She also loved music, and her favorite musical groups were Duran Duran and Def Leppard.
Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Cecil Holland of Urbana, Ohio and Herschel and Katy Foster of Manchester, TN.
Laura is survived by her parents, Max and Joyce Holland, Hixson, TN; aunts, Elaine Pennington of Ooltewah, TN and Linda Fletcher of Manchester, TN. Laura has many cousins that she had a lifelong friendship with.
Laura will be remembered as a gentle, kind-hearted, and hard-working person. As a customer associate at Walmart, she was known for her kindness, her patience, and the way she treated every customer with genuine respect. Her coworkers and the many people she helped each day will remember her warm smile and gentle nature.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, June 7, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Services for Laura will follow at 4 pm on Sunday at the North Chapel.
Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
