Ms. Laverne made a huge impression on me during my teen years, while working together at JC Penney. She was a remarkable lady and I am sorry to hear of her passing!

Laverne was a very good friend of mine. She was like a Mother to me. I started working for her at Sears in Downtown Chattanooga then we moved to Norhtgate Mall and I worked for her for a number of years. I moved to California in 1985 but we remained friends and I visited her when I was in Chattanooga. She was a great friend and I will miss her a lot. Anna Grimes Larson.
