She was of the Baptist faith and was a long time resident of Red Bank, Tennessee where she and her late husband, Robert, raised their family together. Lee was well known for her outgoing personality and loved being the center of attention. She loved all of her “babies”, baking, and crafting. Lee retired from Olan Mills after working there for 27 years.
Lee is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Carzell Winnie; her husband, Robert Jordan Sr.; and her brother, Benjamin Winnie.
Survivors include her three children, Teresa (Carl) Yarbrough, Robert Jordan Jr., and Melissa (Jihad) Itani; her five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Lee will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, TN 37343. A funeral service will occur Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Michael Kilgore officiating. A committal will occur Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens prior to the service, 5351 TN-153, Chattanooga, TN 37343.
