

The beauty of Lillian’s Christian life and love for people was seen and felt by all who knew her both in Chattanooga and overseas as a missionary in Africa. In 1946 she graduated from Chattanooga High School, and from Nyack College, N.Y. in 1951. Afterwards, in 1954, she completed her training in nursing at the West Suburban Hospital in Chicago. She then served the Lord for 14 years as a nurse at the Kasempa Kaonde Hospital in Northern Rhodesia with the South African General Mission.
She returned to the states in 1972 to care for her parents and worked as a nurse at the Campbells Clinic and also at the Hamilton County Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. T. Perry Brannon and sister, Mary Ann McKnight.
Surviving are her sister and brother-in-laws, Carol and Gene Hall of Chattanooga, Sarah Jane and Ray Bailey of Lancaster, CA; nieces Connie Criswell of Atlanta, Kathy Smith of Dayton, Ohio, Julie Davis of Ridgewood, N.J., Tammy Agundez of Lancaster, CA and nephews, Tommy Davis of Birmingham, Randy Davis of Atlanta, Rick Hall of Chattanooga, Tim Hall of Marianna, FL and Ray Bailey of Connecticut.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Saturday, February 26 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and from 1:30 until 2 PM on Sunday at the church. A memorial service celebrating Lillian’s life will take place at the North River Alliance Church, 5954 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343 on Sunday, February 27 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverends Duane Mabee, Gene Hall and P.D. Booth officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
