She was born on March 3, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio. Linda married Francis Lee Downie in Hamilton, Ohio on June 20, 1964. Linda and Francis has four children, Michael Downie, David Downie, Angela Thurman, and Lori King. They moved to the Chattanooga area in 1985. They also had twelve grandchildren, Christopher, Travis, Chasity, Michael Jr., Tara, Tasha , Mark Jr., Michelle, Joshua, Haley, Hannah, Kailey, Kristopher, and Kristina; great grandchildren, Jasmine, Lil Jon, Esme, Rosalind, Brayden, Kai, Addalyne, Cali, Ellie Kate, Arabella, Brandon, Randy, Cassidy, Odyssey, Arby, and Mahjur; sister, Bessie Ray.
Francis preceded her in death on September 18, 2006, her mother, Grace Hubbard, father, Charles Hubbard, brother, Virgil Hubbard also preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-7 Thursday, June 30.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 Friday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
