She was born on August 4, 1948 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Linda was a 1966 graduate of Red Bank High School. She retired from the hotel industry where she spent her career with Marriott. Linda loved her family, friends, God, and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Imogene Tallent Rogers; stepmother, Peggy Rogers and her grandparents, Henry and Jessie Johnson.
Linda is survived by her husband of 40 years, Francis Joseph “Rick” Shaw; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Kenneth Byerley of Chattanooga; stepson, Bryan Shaw of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Jaden and Kalei Byerley of Chattanooga; sister, Connie Rogers of Nesbit, MS; brother, Steve Rogers of Memphis, TN; her favorite sister-in-law, Susan Shaw of Toms River, NJ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, December 3, at North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Linda’s life will follow at 1 pm on Saturday, at the North Chapel. She will be laid to rest in Chattanooga Memorial Park with a Trinity Dove Release.
