She was a member of The Gathering and participated in various ministries within the church. Mrs. Carlton was a former secretary for the church which was Memorial Baptist Church at that time.
Her husband, Arle Carlton preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, David Carlton of Dalton; daughter, Paula (Joe) Smith of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Abbey Smith; grandson, Andy Smith; and great-grandchildren, Anni Smith, Ava Smith, and Avery Smith all of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the North Chapel with David Price officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
