L.A. was born in Scottsboro, Alabama and moved to Harrison, Tennessee. He was a member of the National Guards, owner of M&T Chevron for 30 years. He attended Oakwood Baptist Church
L.A. was preceded in death by his parents Stella and Louie A Thompson, Sr.
L.A. is survived by his wife of 58 years Shirley Thompson; daughters Denise Thompson, Anita T.( Wendell) Boagus and Debra T. ( Tom)Taylor; son Eric ( Jaimie) Thompson; grandchildren Chad, Kristy, Hannah and Seth; great grandchildren Sydney and Troy; sister Ruby Lynskey and Brother Bill Thompson
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 6- 8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home- North Chapel
Funeral service for L.A. will be conducted at 10 am on Friday, January 9, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Grady Dishroon officiating
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
