Mrs. Sneed was born in McMinn County, Tennessee to Charles and Edith Wilkins. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, and retired from DuPont.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Willah Dean Cline, and two brothers, Jim and John Wilkins.
Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Arlin B. Sneed; daughters, Arlene (Stan) Carden of North Chattanooga, and Connie (Joe) Giles of Soddy Daisy; grandchild, Rudy (Kelly) of Richmond; great grandson, Hunter of Knoxville; and “special” great granddaughter, Ella.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-8 Thursday, April 28.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
