Louise Kimmel

She was born March 7, 1925 in Troy, Ohio to Curtis and Georgia Holder. She graduated from Troy High School and attended DePauw University and Ohio State University. She was employed by the Rike Kumler Company of Dayton, Ohio and served several years as their Credit Manager. She married William Kimmel of Louisville, Kentucky and after his retirement they moved to Signal Mountain.

Louise was a longtime volunteer at the Signal Mountain Library serving as treasurer of the Friends of the Library.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Robert C. Holder.

Louise is survived by her sister, Martha Freels (William) of Signal Mountain; step-daughters, Louisa Blodgett and Kathleen Young (Rutledge), nephews, William Freels (Mary Jo), Robert Holder (Elizabeth), Stephen Holder (Martha), and Anthony Holder; nieces, Anne Bleynat (Edward) and Hanlon St. Clair.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 pm on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Services for Louise will be held at a later date for her family in Louisville, Kentucky.
