

Mom (Momma), Grandma, Aunt Grandma, Great Grandma was a patient, kind, selfless, loyal, respected woman who loved her family unconditionally, knew how to make everyone feel special, a woman of true character, Our Rock, our safe place, our Home. We are blessed that she was chosen to bring us into this world and truly honored to surround her with love as she ended her journey here.
Louise was born in New York, NY and lived in Winston-Salem, NC, Roanoke, VA, Lilburn, GA, Hendersonville, TN and settled in Hixson, TN. In Winston-Salem she was a member of Ardmore Methodist Church and graduated in 1962 from R. J. Reynolds High School.
Louise was known as the “Walking Lady” of Hixson. She loved watching and feeding the birds and visiting Chester Frost Park to see the deer. She also liked to hike up Stone Mountain to get a Coke and a Hershey bar. Louise enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, and reading. Meeting Elvis Presley made a huge impression on her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alver and Tallulah Dahlen, her husband Ronnie Tillotson, her brother Tommy Dahlen, and granddaughter Laura Beard.
Louise is survived by her children, Rodney (Jodi) Tillotson, Wendy Tillotson, and Ann Tillotson. Also surviving her are her grandchildren, Reid Tillotson, Ashlyn Tillotson, Parker Tillotson, Katelyn (Anthony) Donato, Carrie (Daniel) Albritton, Grayson Klink, Austin (Kristyn) Burke, Ethan Terry, and Olivia Terry, her great-grandchildren, Addie, Charlotte, Lauren, Amberlyn, Ari, Layla, and Lilli. Louise is survived by cousins, Helen Beam, Edna Tieman, Sandra Reynolds, and Jonathan Snow, and nieces and nephew, Brook, Noah, Ashley, Amy, and Alex.
Louise would be honored if you would, in lieu of flowers, make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Services for Louise will be private.
